Abstract
Στην παρούσα διατριβή καταγράφεται η ιστορία της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Ιωαννίνων από την ίδρυσή της κατά την Υστεροβυζαντινή περίοδο ως τη σύγχρονη εποχή, όπως αυτή οριοθετείται, όχι μόνο από τη περιοχή της σημερινής της δικαιοδοσίας, αλλά και από την έκταση που κατείχε στο παρελθόν.
This thesis documents the history of the Holy Metropolis of Ioannina from its establishment during the Late Byzantine period to the modern era, as defined not only by the current juris-diction of the Metropolis but also by the extent it once held.
